Initially, Pixel Spring was called Spring Awakening, because it was the first template released after some time and one of the first supposed to be sold. At some point I did realize that it sounded too much like a movie title and decided to call it Pixel Spring.
I consider it a clean WordPress template since there’s not much going on from the graphical point of view and most of the elements are subtle and calming. The predominant color is green and it blends quite nice with the sky blue-to-grey gradient int the body background.
The reasons we call it premium WordPress Template are:
- Widget ready sidebars and footer
- Customizable from withing the admin panel – virtually no need to editing template files
- Custom Recent Comments Widget
- Threaded comments compatible
- Image slideshow in the header (you can use your Flickr account)
- Twitter Updates in the sidebar
